 Destined to Die 

Do you have your plans laid out for the future?  Is your house in order and your family taken care of in case of emergency?  None of us can say we are absolutely ready, because we never know when we’ll draw our last breath.

Unlike Jesus, we don’t know when God will call us home.  The Bible says we are all going to die a physical death because of sin, and will be judged one day.  We will give an account for every sin and have to pay the price if we don’t give our life and sins over to Jesus. (Romans 3:23)

Jesus died on the cross for the penalty of sin. He will forgive us all sin if we ask Him.  We cannot have assurance of knowing when we will meet our Maker, nor can we live in fear of death. However, knowing Jesus as Savior, we can have the assurance that we are ready for whatever happens.

“And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment.” (Hebrews 9:27 NKJV)
