The Remnant Shall Be Saved

Verse of the month

“Though the number of the children
of Israel be as the sand of the sea,
the remnant will be saved.” (Romans 9:27)

September 8th -14th, 2016

Scripture Reading: Romans 9:27 & Joel 2:32

The Remnant Shall Be Saved

When our carpet was being installed there were pieces of all sizes left over.  With the remnants we made good throw rugs to be used in various areas of our home and vehicles; nothing was thrown away.  The remnants were as good as the entire carpet and even more versatile.

“And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.  For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be deliverance, as the Lord has said,
among the remnant whom the Lord calls.”
(Joel 2:32 NKJV)

The Word tells us that those who were first chosen by God to hear and receive Jesus rejected Him.  But the remnants (not of Jewish heritage) didn’t.  They would be spared because they were the ones who believed Jesus’ message.  God has a good place for all of us, and we can be used for God in the best places, just like my throw rugs.

Ask God where He wants to use you and thank Him for saving the remnants! (cw)

“Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand
of the sea, the remnant will be saved.” (Romans 9:27)
