The Joy of the Lord is My Strength

Verse of the month

“Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise; be thankful unto Him, and bless His name.” Psalm 100:4

Scripture Reading: 2 Corinthians 7

The Joy of the Lord is My Strength

The dictionary describes joy as an emotion of pleasure, delight, happiness, etc.  Sadly the world looks for happiness in material things, events or things of the flesh.

If you are one of those people who only get joy and happiness based on events in your life, you’re missing out on the true joy God intended for His children.

Acts 13:52 says that the disciples were continually filled with joy and the Holy Spirit.  The Word instructs that for us to operate in real joy we have to fellowship with God and be in His Word daily.

“And these things we write to you that your joy may be full.”
 (1 John 1:4 NKJV)

Spend time with the Lord today that your joy may be full.
