Politically Correct or Spiritual Neglect

Verse of the month
"For God has not given us the Spirit of fear, but of power, and of love,
and of a sound mind." (2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV)

January 22nd - 31st

Scripture Reading: Galatians 6

Politically Correct or Spiritual Neglect

We live in a day when the world is very careful not to offend "other" religions. They will defend the rights of those who worship false gods, yet discriminate against and even condemn those of the Christian faith.

Hey, where is the fairness in this?  You might be saying, "Seems like Christians are just wasting their time."  The Word of God says something different.

"And let us not be weary in well doing; for in due season we shall reap,
if we fain not."  (Galatians 6:9)

At times trying to continue on can be hard and frustrating, but the words in 1 Corinthian 15:58 ring loud and clear for us today.

"Therefore, my  beloved brethren, be steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, for as much as you know that your
labor is not in vain in the Lord."

That should renew our hope in what we do for God.  He will make sure our labor in His work isn't wasted or goes unnoticed.  Turn you eyes upon Him, and forget about what others are saying, doing or thinking.  It's about God and you, not God and "who".

Don't neglect what the promise is if we don't faint (give up) on doing the will of God in spreading the gospel message of Jesus Christ and salvation.  We SHALL reap good from the good we have sown!

In spite of all that is going on around us, and the fact that it may be unpopular with the world, we are to continue to uplift and honor the Name of the Lord Jesus.

To put it plainly, we aren't supposed to faint.  What does that mean?  Don't  give up, quit, waver or give in to the pressure or do what is wrong just to be politically correct with the world.

Remember, God has everything covered, including you if you abide in the shelter of His arms and plans. (Read and pray Psalm 91 over your life.)

Your due season is coming.  God promised it would, but if you cave in under pressure you'll never see it happen for you.  Trust God and His Word which is always correct no matter how you look at it.  As we uplift and honor the Lord, He will do the same for us.
