“I take joy in doing Your will, my God, for Your instructions

are written on my heart.” (Psalm 40:8 NLT)

Take Joy in Doing

With so much uncertainty going on in this current day, it’s hard to know what steps to take next.  People’s lives are changing in ways they would have never anticipated, causing them to make drastic life changes.

While listening to Christian radio I heard a woman say she was ready to do something different if it was God’s will, even though her longing was to return to teaching in a classroom.   She was open for God to move in her life, and was taking delight in how He would use these upsetting circumstances and turn them into good.

“I take joy in doing Your will, my God, for Your instructions

are written on my heart.” (Psalm 40:8 NLT)

If we are not fellowshipping with the Lord, we will miss what He is doing and think that evil is winning.  Don’t believe it for a minute. God is working things out for His glory and your good!

‘Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the Saints according to the will of God.

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”  

(Romans 8:27-28 NKJV)

Pray for God’s perfect will and to be in the center of it with decision making.  Obey and be prepared to accept what God says when He answers, even if it’s not what you expected.

You may have to wait while God shapes you, but trust Him - it will be worth it.  Submit to Him and take joy that you are doing His perfect will. (cw)
