Getting through the Day

Holiday seasons are supposed to be the most joyous times of the year gathered with loved ones and friends.  Sadly though too often these days are more difficult than joyous for those who have suffered the loss of a loved one.  It’s all they can do to get through the day.
The Bible tells us in Isaiah 53:3-5 that Jesus was acquainted with our grief, and is called the man of sorrows.  He was chastised so that we could have peace in any situation. People cannot give the comfort that God can give, but we can tell someone about the comfort that is available through Jesus.  Sharing the love of Jesus is the most important thing we can do to bring hope to the lost and peace to the saved.
In difficult times where there seems no peace is in sight, reach out to someone with Jesus.  Let the comfort of the Holy Spirit do the work knowing that God is in control over all situations.
“Surely He hath borne our grief, and carried our sorrows… but with His stripes we are healed (made whole).” Isaiah 53:4,5
