Home Going

Verse of the Month

“I can do all things through Christ, because He gives me strength!”
  Philippians 4:13

November 15-21, 2015

Scripture Reading: Revelation 21

Home Going

The home going or passing away of a born again believer is a time of rejoicing in Heaven.  If we think about some of the things that we know about Heaven: no night there, no crying, streets of gold, and the eternal presence of God… it is an awesome thing.
But there are many who will not be experiencing that upon their death.  They will be ushered into eternal darkness, suffering, and separation from God.
Christians should want all to experience the joy and rejoicing of a life preserved forever with our Heavenly Father.  It is so important that we are bold in reaching out to the lost with the good news of the Gospel.  Like Jesus, we should not be willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance and a saving knowledge of our Lord and Savior.
