Encouraging the Spirit

Verse of the Month

“Obey those who rule over you, and be submissive, for they watch out for your souls, as those who must give account. Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you.” Hebrews 13:17

Encouraging the Spirit

How often have you longed for a kind word or uplifting and encouragement from fellow believers?  Many times we forget that a few thoughtful words from a friend or family member could be the difference in having a blessed day or remaining in weariness in our doing good.  We need to encourage the spirit of others with loving words and acts of kindness.

Children are no different; they also need encouragement.  Uplift your children so that they do not become discouraged and lose faith in God or you.  Teach them to love the Lord with all their heart and might.  In doing so, you will make every moment a lasting memory for here and eternity.

Learn to encourage the spirit of others.

“And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be thankful.  Children obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.  Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged. ” (Colossians 3:15, 20 & 21)
