Thou Art My Hiding Place

Verse of the Month

“Obey those who rule over you, and be submissive, for they watch out for your souls, as those who must give account. Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you.” Hebrews 13:17

October 1st – 7th

Scripture Reading: Psalm 32

Thou Art My Hiding Place

It seems that trouble and disaster try to follow us all the time. Whether you are in you are in financial ruin or family crisis, trouble doesn’t play favorites.  It will come on anyone who isn’t armed with the Word. Ephesians 6 teaches us to always be prepared, and states the weapons we need to use in order to be delivered out of trouble.

As Christians, we often turn to Psalms or Proverbs when we need comforting.  We find peace and rest in Psalm 23, 34 or 91, but where does the lost soul go to find peace when tragedy or disaster strikes?

How can they find peace or know how to be delivered out of evil and fear with no point of reference?  We can teach them.  We can show them in the Word how to be free from pain and suffering.  It is our responsibility to get involved.

People all over the world need to know that God will bring us through, by the power of united prayer and love. (Psalm 32:6)

“Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me in trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance.  Selah.” (Psalm 32:7)
