Stand Firm in Faith

Verse of the Week

“… Jesus looked at them and said, with men this is impossible,
but all things are possible with God.” (Matthew 19:26 AMPC)

January 1st – 7th

Scripture Reading:  Matthew 19:26; Job 42:1

 Stand Firm in Faith

How fast are the days flying by for you?  As a new year begins are you ready to start the next decade doing the impossible, or do you feel so much has happened that it’s too late?

These are questions we ponder in our hearts on a regular basis.  Perhaps you have a great vision of doing wondrous things for the Lord, but don’t see any way for it to happen.  If so, you’re not alone in your thoughts.

The Bible describes a certain conversation Job had with the Lord after he lost practically everything dear to him.  Although he had experienced great loss, Job came to this realization and verbalizes his trust in the awesome power of the Almighty God.

“Then Job answered the LORD:  I know You can do everything.
You make plans, and nothing can change or stop them." (Job 42:1 ERV)

Maybe last year didn’t go as you planned and you suffered your own loss.  Do not remain in your discouragement.  If what you have in your heart is truly God’s plan and calling, nothing can stop it from coming to pass.

Stand firm in faith regardless to how things may look.  Believe God for the impossible as Job did and watch the plan of God unfold in your life. (cw)
