The Best Way to Say Thank You

Verse of the Week

“…You must worship Christ as Lord of your life.  And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be prepared to explain it.”
(1 Peter 3:15 NLT)

Scripture Reading: John 3:1-18

The Best Way to Say Thank You

It’s a phrase we often say automatically when purchasing an item, when someone opens the door for us or in receiving good service – thank you!
We may also show our appreciation through giving a tip or small gift.

Although those things are nice, there is a better way to demonstrate your appreciation to someone.  Scriptures declare that we are to make known God’s works to those around us.  Share what He has done for you through Christ Jesus and the free gift of salvation.

“Oh give thanks to the LORD; call upon His name; make
known His deeds among the peoples.” (1 Chronicles 16:8)

Tell how Jesus took away the guilt and shame of sin, by giving the gift of peace like no other can do through forgiveness.  Let your face and work reflect the joy you’ve found in becoming a child of God.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
(John 3:16 NKVJ)

The best way to show appreciation to someone is to tell them that God loves and care for them.  So, when people demonstrate kindness, thank them by saying how “Christlike” they have been toward you, which will open a door for your testimony. (cw)
