Provision Will Come

“The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make His face shine
upon you, and be gracious to you.” (Numbers 6:24-25 NKJV)

Scripture Reading:  2 Kings 4; Numbers 6:24-26

Provision Will Come

For the first time in my life, when we went grocery shopping, the shelves were bare and it wasn't because of an expected snowstorm heading our way.  Out of fear people have panicked that they wouldn't have provisions.  With the global pandemic it has caused a ripple effect on merchandise and manufacturing that trickles down to product and sales.   No product, no sales.  How are we to respond to these realities as believers?

We are to remain in hope and trust God by reminding ourselves how He cared for others in our situation.  Throughout the Bible there are examples of how the Lord took care of His people in various circumstances.

Repeatedly God provided resources for the Israelites such as manna and quail when they were in the wilderness. He sent a prophet to help a desperate widow and filled her empty pots with oil (2 Kings 4).  Jehovah fed Elijah commissioning the assistance of ravens.  By the direction of God, Joseph set a plan during a famine and was able to feed nations.

Let us not forget how Jesus fed multitudes with fish and bread.  This same God will bless and keep you. Trust in Him to be gracious, believing your provision will come at the right time. (cw)

“The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make His face shine
upon you, and be gracious to you; the LORD life up His countenance
upon you, and give you peace.” (Numbers 6:24-26 NKJV)
