Verse
of the month
"After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished,
that the scripture might be
fulfilled, said, ‘I thirst.” Now there was
set a vessel full of vinegar: and
they filled a sponge with vinegar,
and put it upon hyssop, and put it to
His mouth. When Jesus
therefore had received the vinegar,
He said, ‘It is finished’
and He bowed His head, and gave up
the ghost.”

Adoption Guaranteed
Terms of being adopted is something orphans
understand. It means being brought into
a family that was not theirs by birth.
They live with the hope of one day belonging to individuals who will
choose them to be part of their group.
Statistics show that the older a child gets the less
likely they are to be adopted. This proved
to be true in Pastor Jim’s case. When he suddenly became an orphan at the age of fifteen his
world was turned upside down. He was forced into guardianship becoming a ward
of the state.
He wasn’t “chosen” or “wanted”, but a process took place
due to an agreement that was made by adults who never expected to have this guardianship
request ever fulfilled.
His story has a good ending. There was someone who did
want him and called Pastor Jim by name.
That person was Jesus Christ.
God’s greatest desire is to keep adding to His family,
and those who believe on His Son will never be rejected or turned away from His
Kingdom home.
Pastor Jim wasn’t adopted by anyone here on earth, but he
was chosen, loved and adopted by God Himself when he received Jesus into his
heart upon salvation. Friend you are
loved by the Savior, and by saying the prayer of salvation you too will be
adopted into the family of God becoming His very own child.
“So you have not received a spirit that makes you
fearful slaves.
Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he
adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, “Abba, Father.” (Romans
8:15 NLT)
Today my husband has three loving families. The church (Body of Christ), my relatives,
and his Heavenly Kingdom family where adoption is guaranteed forever! (cw)
