Wisdom Brings Success

Verse of the month

“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free…”
Galatians 5:1

July 15-21, 2016

Scripture Reading: Ecclesiastes 10:10

Wisdom Brings Success

“If the iron is blunt, and he does not whet (sharpen the blade) the edge, then must he put to more strength (use more effort): but wisdom is profitable (beneficial) to direct (the solution).” Ecclesiastes 10:10.

Have you ever seen someone split wood?  When they begin the project the ax they use may have a sharp blade, but as the task goes on, the blade becomes dull and has to be sharpened.  If you cannot sharpen it, you have to use more strength in order for the ax to cut through the wood.

However, if you have foreknowledge of the situation, your wisdom will bring success.  Since we don’t always know how to prepare for every situation, it is important that we stay close to God and ask for wisdom for all our daily tasks.

Keeping our wisdom sharp will help us to gain strength to accomplish all we need to in this life. (J/CW)
