The Manger is Not Far Away

The Manger is Not Far Away

Some may say that if we compared the state of things in the world today, there wouldn’t seem to be much difference than it was thousands of years ago when the Israelites were living in captivity.  Although circumstances may not be the same, I agree that mankind continues to look for a light of hope, comfort and deliverance at the end of a gloomy tunnel.

People are captive to sin and live in darkness.  A Savior is still needed and the hope of His arrival fills their hearts with glimmers of joy.  I’ve got good news … the wait is long over my friend! 

The manger is not far “away” but here for those who will believe it!  A Messiah did come to set all captives free, to remove and break the yoke of burdens caused by sin.  His name is Immanuel and He wants you to know He is with those who believe in Jesus.

There is no better time of year than at Christmas to share the salvation message of the manger.  A Savior has come to fulfill the promise of God declared in the Holy scriptures.

This year as you sing the carol "Away in A Manger", share how Jesus is always close by for those who believe in Him.  Lead them to the Light of God in prayer.  Reveal that He is the Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father and Prince of Peace who not only will stay with them from morning until night, but also forever in Heaven to live with Him there. Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
