Never Give Your “UP”

Verse of the Month

“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.”
(I Corinthians 15:58)

Scripture Reading: II Corinthians 4:1-18

Never Give Your “UP”

“We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed…” (II Corinthians 4:8)

Are you tempted to throw in the towel; to walk away, to seclude yourself from others and life itself?  Are you even tempted to walk away from God?  Our  scripture passage sums up a lot of things in life and ministry when we feel discouraged.  But remember… your labor is not in vain in the Lord.” (I Corinthians 15:58)

These words need to be part of our daily conversation, “never give up”!  I like to say it this way: NEVER GIVE YOUR “UP”!  Up is a position in life.  It is yours; yours to be up and not down. Never give up your position to stay on top or “up”.

God never gives up, walks out, or turns His back on us.  He is there to pick us up when we fall and restores us to the pro- per “up” position.  No matter what it looks like, never give your “up” again! (JW)
