In Jesus, We Are Blameless

Verse of the Month

“For as he thinks in his heart, so is he…”  Proverbs 23:7

Scripture Reading: Romans 8:1-5

“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus…”
(Romans 8:1)

In Jesus, We Are Blameless

Some born again Christians are having a condemnation problem that is robbing them of peace.  They have accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior, but have been unable to forget about their past and move on to their future in Christ.

The world around us is very unforgiving and certainly is not willing to forget about our past.  God knows all about our past and all the things that we have ever done, yet He doesn’t hold us in condemnation for it if we have accepted His Son and repented of our sins.  John 3:17 says, “For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”  Jesus came to save us, not condemn us!

As believers, we have no right to hold onto the thoughts of the past that keep us in condemnation.  Jesus said that we are forgiven and He meant it!  Stop beating up on yourself and stop allowing satan to keep picking away at your mind with things that Jesus covered for us with His blood.  Remember, in Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior, there is therefore now NO condemnation!
