Verse of the month
"After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished,
that the scripture might be
fulfilled, said, ‘I thirst.” Now there was
set a vessel full of vinegar: and
they filled a sponge with vinegar,
and put it upon hyssop, and put it to
His mouth. When Jesus
therefore had received the vinegar,
He said, ‘It is finished’
and He bowed His head, and gave up
the ghost.”

Blood Cleansing Power
When we shop for something to clean our homes, garages,
work spaces and more we want the most powerful cleaning agent our money can
buy. It has to do more than take away surface
dirt but must be able to get down into the crevices, reaching the tiniest
particles and removing them completely.
If we find such a remarkable product no doubt we’ll
continue to buy it the rest of our lives.
After all, living clean is important right?
Unlike being able to wash away outward dirt and grime
with a bottled solution, the deep sin in our hearts cannot be scrubbed away
with manmade materials. The only thing
that can keep our hearts continually scrubbed and clean of sin is the blood
cleansing power of Jesus Christ.
The Bible tells us that the way to live continuously
clean from all unrighteousness is to admit that we have sinned and confess it to
God. It’s something that we have to do
on a regular basis – “continuously” in order to be in right standing with the
Lord.
“If we (freely) admit that we have sinned and confess our sins,
He is faithful and just (true to His own nature
and promises) and
will forgive our sins (dismiss our lawlessness)
and (continuously)
cleanse us from all unrighteousness (everything
not in conformity
to His will in purpose, thought, and action).
(1 John 1:9 AMP)
Every day we wash up to keep our flesh clean, but we also
need to do the same spiritually. Only
the blood cleansing power of Jesus can take away the sins we have committed in this
world.
