Never Be Shaken

For as long as I can remember my sister has wanted to live in a big city - mainly NYC.  She loves the hustle and bustle and liveliness that it brings.  I’m all for her passion and dream, except for the massive height of the buildings swaying several feet in the wind.

Those structures were designed to move back and forth to withstand damage. The individuals who live in these buildings are not shaken when it's windy or stormy, because they know the structure is doing what it’s supposed to during that type of weather.

This is how God expects His children to be when trouble comes to shake the ground under us.  By faith we are to be structurally sound and not moved by the enemy.

When trials come refuse to give in to fear.  Put your faith in God's Word and remain steadfast.  Don't be shaken by what you hear or see, but trust in the Lord for safety.

“Surely the righteous will never be shaken; they will be remembered forever. They will have no fear of bad news; their hearts are steadfast in 

trusting the LORD.” (Psalm 112: 6-7 NIV).

As the psalmist wrote, praise the Lord and delight yourself in His word.  Let God strengthen your faith as you put your trust in Him. (cw)
