I Will Be with You

Verse of the Week

“You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in Your world.” (Psalm 119:114)

November 1st – 7th

Scripture Reading: Psalm 40:17, 100:5, 119:114; Isaiah 43:2; Matthew 11:28

I Will Be with You

These are difficult times where it’s hard to see hope in the future.  We don't need to be in the midst of a world crisis to notice people hurting and downtrodden with troubles.

There are the homeless, widows, orphaned, blind or destitute, and this is only part of what people are facing these days.  How can we help in such a difficult time?  By leading them to Jesus for the hope, comfort and the rest they desperately need.

“Come to me, all of you who are tired from carrying heavy loads, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28 GNT)

“You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in Your world.” (Psalm 119:114)

In the darkest of times there is still a bright shining light that can be found only in Jesus.  As the world faces uncertain times be prepared to give hope and comfort through sharing the Word of God.  Let them know there is someone who cares and will be there for them through every situation. (cw)

"When you pass through deep waters, I will be with you; your troubles will not overwhelm you.  When you pass through fire, you will not be burned; the hard trials that come will not hurt you." (Isaiah 43:2 GNT)

“For the LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations.” (Psalm 100:5 NKJV)

“I am weak and poor, O Lord, but You have not forgotten me. You are my Savior and my God – hurry to my aid. (Psalm 40:17 GNT – a prayer of the lowly)
