Sharing Jesus with A Veteran

Have you wondered what you can do to support our heroes for Veteran's Day on November 11th?  Here are a few suggestions from seasoned vets.

1 - Reflect on every citizen who gave his or her life to our country in service.

2 - Volunteer.  Help plan or attend a Veteran's Day parade or event in your community.

3 - Visit or send a gift or an encouraging card to someone in a VA Hospital or facility and include scripture.

4 - Write or call a Vet you know and express your gratitude to them for their service.  Let them know they are loved by God.  He understands how they feel and cares for them.

5 - Pray for them - God hears and sees their tears.  Share these passages of scripture with a veteran to encourage and give them hope. (cw)

“And I heard a loud voice from Heaven saying, behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people.  God Himself will be with them and be their God.

And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying.  There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” (Revelation 21:3-4 NKJV)

“You number my wanderings; put my tears into Your bottle; are they not in Your book?” (Psalm 56:8 NKJV)

“For You have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.” (Psalm 116:8 NKJV)
