Having A Grateful Heart
When
you think of being thankful or grateful, what comes mind? It’s easy to recognize big blessings in our
lives, but we often overlook the small things that God does for us on a daily
basis.
Maybe
this year hasn’t gone well for you and the future doesn’t look much brighter. Friend, if you’re a believer
in Christ, you have a great future and it starts with your outlook on today.
No
matter what the world is experiencing, we have hope that God will work it all
out for those who love Him. That’s
something to shout about in itself.
“But as it is
written: Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
nor have
entered into the heart of man the things
which God has
prepared for those who love Him.”
(1
Corinthians 2:9 NKJV)
Everyone has something
to celebrate and give thanks for, but we often elevate the negative overlooking
anything positive, which spoils the good that does come.
“In everything
give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”
(1 Thessalonians 5:18 NKJV)
Train yourself to focus
on good things by giving thanks with a grateful heart. See how your outlook on life and attitude
changes, when you take notice by magnifying the
good. You may be pleasantly surprised!
Don’t take anything for
granted. What are you grateful for and
how can you show gratitude so others will take that step of faith in believing
God?
Let
gratitude become a part of your
daily routine. Get your mind off the
negative and focus on the good things God has done for you. See what God will do when you show gratitude by
being thankful. (cw)
