“And God will wipe away every tear from their
eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall
be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” (Revelation 21:4

Great Expectations from
Yourself
When it comes to believing you were made for greatness, what are your expectations? Do you believe God has created you for something wonderful?
It’s
easy for us to have great expectations from God and even other Christians, but sometimes
it’s hard to believe that we can amount to anything outside the “ordinary”.
Years go by and in tears we wonder what happened? Has our life amounted to anything?
When
it comes to thinking we have the capabilities to do spectacular things for the
Kingdom of God, often time our mindset says, “I just don’t have it in me. I’m not gifted the way Jesus was.” Friend, that simply isn’t true.
Did
you realize that you are here with the purpose of adding value to the Kingdom
of God just like Jesus? It’s true. Every person who turns their life over to
Christ is to be a witness for Him, and each of us should expect every great
blessing and promise God has for His children.
We
should expect spiritual gifts to grow and accomplish our goals. Our lifestyle, the way we love others and the
testimony we share is to be used to help expand and strengthen the Kingdom of
God.
From
this point on think of yourself the way God does – empowered to achieve great
things for Him. He believes in you;
believe in yourself.
God
hasn’t left us helpless to try and do things without Him. He has given us His Spirit to guide us
through every situation. Ask the Holy Spirit to teach you what you need to know
and how to go about the task. It won’t
be long before you start fulfilling the great expectations God has for you and you
have for yourself. (cw)
“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom
the Father will send in My name,
He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance
all things that I said to you." (John 14:26 NLKV)
