Faith Moments Daily Bible Reading and Online Devotionals
Another rainy day and our well intented plans had to be put on hold for the garden. That's been happening a lot lately, but to be honest, I don't mind.
I'm not trying to escape work, but on those days when my plans don't go as expected, it's an opportunity to learn from the Master gardener - Jesus.
During those quiet rainy times that I look forward to hearing from God, and heed to His instruction like Moses warned the Israelites in Deuteronomy 32.
"Let my teaching fall on you like rain; let my speech settle like dew. Let my words fall like rain on tender grass, like gentle showers on young plants." (Deuteronomy 32:2 NLT)
Rain is a blessing reminder of God's faithfulness and goodness, even during times when I may slip up. He keeps His promises because He is God - there is none other.
The next time it rains, let it be a reminder of God's blessings. Open a Bible and let the His Words fall on you like a gentle shower and bathe in His goodness. Soak in His instruction like a tender young plant as it nourishs your soul. It won't be long before you welcome the rain and look forward to spending quiet time with the Lord.
