The new year has come and with the past behind us, with anticipation and hope we look forward to what God will do in our lives next.

No matter how last year went, God wants us to move on to what He is doing now.  The prophet Isaiah encouraged us not to hold on to former things, but look forward to the new things God is doing that will bring abundant blessings in unexpected ways.

"Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old.  Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it?  I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. (Isaiah 43:18-19)

Remember that you are a new creation in Christ and in being new we can enjoy all the blessings that come with our salvation.

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.  The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.  (2 Corinthians 5:17)

This year start a new thing in your own life.  Each day wake up with expectation that God has already planned a new thing to come that will take you to greater heights beyond your imagination.
