Attention All Sheep

Verse of the Month

“For as the earth brings forth its bud, as the garden causes the things that are sown in it to spring forth, so the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.”
 (Isaiah 61:11 NKJV)

March 1-7th

Scripture Reading:  Psalm 23

Attention All Sheep:
The Shepherd is looking for “ewe”!

“The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want” (Psalm 23:1).

Our scripture passage today says that the Lord is our Shepherd.  That means that as our Shepherd He has a fold, a place for us to be.  Where is that place?  Of course He has a place for us in Heaven, but what about here on earth?  What can be considered the fold here?  Well how about the Church, God’s House, a place where the uncompromised Word of God is preached.

When we are solidly in God’s fold, He will prepare a table before us in the presence of our enemies, He will anoint our heads with oil, and our cups will run over with abundant blessings.  Outside of the fold, there is danger, aimless wandering, hunger, lack, and wolves!

Fellow believers I urge you to get to and stay in God’s fold.  This is not the time for you to be wandering around all alone or telling yourself that you can make it on your own.  Let us not forsake the assembling of ourselves together (Hebrews 10:25).  There is safety in the fold of the Good Shepherd!
