Pray and Cry Aloud, He Will Hear Your Voice

Verse of the Month

“But he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth,
who was crucified. He is risen! He is not here.
See the place where they laid Him.”

Pray and Cry Aloud, He Will Hear Your Voice

Scripture Reading:  Psalm 55:16-18 & 22-23

“Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and He shall sustain thee…”
(Psalm 55:22)

There are times in life that many of us may feel tired and afraid, alone and lonely.  It is at those times that we are in a vulnerable position.  Our minds begin to run away with us, allowing satan to whisper his lies in our ears.  Troubles seem to come at us from every direction and we just don’t know where to turn to get relief, even for just a brief moment.

Does this sound anything like your life?  If so, keep reading, and you will receive instruction from the Word of God.

In Psalm 55 the Psalmist tells us, that when he was faced with difficulties, “I will call upon God; and the Lord shall save me” (Psalm 55:16).  You see we aren’t to try and stumble through these things alone, searching for answers from the world or from within ourselves.

God wants us to turn to Him and to trust in Him and to rely on Him.  Verse 18 says that in the evening, morning, and at noon, if I pray and cry aloud to God that He shall hear my voice.  Notice that it didn’t say might hear, it said He SHALL hear.

Our Heavenly Father is waiting to hear from us.  There is no need for us to live outside of His comfort and protection.  Let’s take the instruction given in Psalm 55:22 and, “Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and He shall sustain thee:  He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.”

Don’t try to carry your troubles alone, give them over to God.  He will take those burdens, carry them for you, get rid of them, and sustain (feed, support, provide for) you.  Don’t carry that stuff around on your back for another minute.  Give it over to God!  He SHALL hear your voice!
