Christmas Greetings of Hope

Verse of the Week

“And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the Heavenly host praising God and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”  (Luke 2:14 NKJV)

 December 22nd – 31st

Scripture Reading:  Luke 2:1-20; John 3:1-20

Christmas Greetings of Hope

A favorite part of the holiday season for me is mailing out Christmas cards.  Apparently, over a billion others feel the same.  However, the idea of sending greetings of hope didn’t come from mankind as we’d like to think; we are merely the recipients of the original greeting card sent from God through His messenger angels.

“Then the angel said to them, Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people.  For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.”  (Luke 2:10-11 NKJV)

Christmas began when God sent His Only Begotten Son to Earth with greetings filled with hope, joy and peace.  This message wasn’t just for the shepherds or those of that time, but for all mankind who would believe and rejoice in Jesus as the sent Savior from God.

“And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the Heavenly host praising God and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”
(Luke 2:13-14 NKJV)

As the year comes to a close, will you open your heart and receive the message from the angels?  God sent Jesus for you and all who come to believe the Christmas greeting of hope.  Receive the true Christmas greeting that salvation has come, and like the angels, spread the good news to all mankind. “For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world, that He even gave His One and Only Begotten Son, so that whoever believes and trusts in His as Savior shall not perish, but have eternal life.

For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world,
but that the world through His (Jesus) might be saved.”
(John 3:16 AMP &17 NKJV)
