Meeting an Universal Need

If you gathered every president, king or leader from all generations they would have little to agree on in most cases.  However, there is something that no ruler or person in authority could ever disclaim.

For one brief second, deep down they would all be in agreement that the need to be or feel loved is universal in the hearts of all mankind.  How it is achieved would be greatly debated.

People want and need to be loved, but most are starved for this affection. They seek it in various avenues, but not from God because they have no idea that He loves them.

For those that do know about the love of God, not all receive or believe it is for them.  They don't feel worthy or deserving of such great love, so they accept worldly love hoping the need will be met ... but it never is!

The real universal truth about love is that God's is Holy and unconditional ... it's not like human love.  It is a "compulsion" of God to love us, not because of who we are but because of who He is. God is love! (1 John 4:8)

It doesn't matter how much we have financially, how smart we are or what we do in life for God based on our performances.  God lavishes His love on us purely because we are His children.

We receive God's love through His generous goodness, faithfulness, mercy and never ending grace.  That's the universal message everyone needs to hear.  

"Understand, therefore, that the LORD your God is indeed God.  He is the faithful God who keeps His covenant for a thousand generations and lavishes His unfailing love on those who love Him and obey His commands." (Deuteronomy 7:9 NLT)
