Scripture Reading: Hebrews 6
Rejected for Love
Sam was sitting next to a man on his flight to Dallas. After an hour of good conversation he had an urge to talk to the gentleman about Jesus.
His mind became flooded with thoughts and questions about how the man would receive his testimony. "What if he doesn't want to hear about it or gets upset and rejects me?"
Pushing his Bible out of sight, Sam never told the fellow passenger about the love of God. His fear of rejection stopped him from sharing the good news of salvation.
Sharing your faith in Jesus sometimes takes courage, especially when battling the fear of rejection. Let me assure you that Jesus understands how you feel having experienced the same thing from his own people. However, it never stopped Him from telling others that God loved them. (Read Luke 4:16-30)
There are times when we know the Holy Spirit is leading us to speak to someone. Don't let fear of any kind talk you out of being obedient to the voice of the Lord. He will guide your conversation and help you say the right things leading you to handle the actions of the other individual.
Even if others don't receive our testimony it's worth sharing despite possibly being rejected by man, because the grace of God's love that saves is greater than anything man has to offer. He will remember your labor of love.
