It's not unusual for me to hear the question, "Who is responsible for evangelizing to the lost anyway? Isn't that the pastor's job?" If you were hoping I'd say yes, I'm sorry to disappoint you but the answer is "NO".
Jesus has commanded that all who come to a salvation knowledge through Him share the message with others. Often times people hold back on witnessing thinking they have to give a big sermon or something along that line in order to reach someone, when the opposite is true.
Try sharing how you came to believe in Christ; tell of something wonderful God has recently done in your life. It doesn't have to be elaborate, just honest and from your heart. Next time you feel a prompt from the Holy Spirit to speak up to someone, go ahead and shed the light of the Living God that burns brightly within you.
