1 John
4:4b
Scripture Reading: James 4:7-8a
Don’t
Talk to Me!
Did
you know that the devil has no right to talk to you? Well, he doesn’t. God does not give satan permission to engage
you in a conversation of any kind.
Think
of it this way. Would you allow a
stranger, or someone you know to be a wicked person, to come up to your child
and talk with them? Certainly not! Your defense mechanism and all your strength
would rise up within you to drive them off and cover that child to protect
them.
Jesus
Christ has taken up residence inside of the believer as 1st John 4:4
tells us that, “…greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the
world.” Jesus is covering and protecting
you.
Have
no conversations with the devil. He may
try to whisper in your ear, but speak only with the Lord, and speak only the
Word, and watch the devil take off! (JW)
