make known His deeds
among the peoples …
talk of His wondrous
works.” (Psalm 105:1)

Scripture Reading: Proverbs 3:9-10
Always a Reserve
“Honor the
LORD with your possessions, and with the first fruits of all your increase; so
your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will overflow with new
wine.”
We
are blessed to live in a country where there is plenty of everything…food,
houses, cars, clothes, money, etc. You
name it, we have it. Yes, our barns seem
to be full and overflowing with many pleasures, but will there always be a
reserve of these things?
God
tells us that we are to be givers of everything. He calls for us to honor Him
with our possessions and tithes, so the increase or reserve remains in the
overflow levels. How do we stop the
overflow of abundance? Blessings stop
when we stop giving of our possessions and tithe. Overflow is not needed where there is no
heart for giving.
Our
nation has been givers so that Luke 6:38 can be established in our
country. Help keep the Word of God alive
by giving the way God has commanded, so we can reap overflows and always have a
reserve. (cw)
