"For unto you is born this day in the city of David
a Savior who is Christ the Messiah, the Lord." Luke 2:11
December 22nd – 31st
Born into Royalty
Scripture Reading: Luke 2:1-20
Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior was born in the flesh
from the royal line of King David. He was born in the region of Judea, which is
the promised land through the blessings of Abraham. Jesus is the Son of God,
and King of all kings.
"These
will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord
of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are called, chosen, and
faithful.” (Revelation 17:14 NKJV)
Any which way you look at it, Jesus is of a royal
bloodline in Spirit, soul and body. As God’s children, we are also born into a
royal bloodline (when we accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior). We became part of
the royal
priesthood and are to inherit the full blessings promised
to Abraham.
"But you
are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special
people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness
into His marvelous light."
(1 Peter
2:9 NKJV)
If God left these promises in the flesh to only those
directly born of the tribe of Judah (the line of Christ) or the Levites, only
these people would be able to become kings and inherit the promises of God. I
am thankful that through Jesus we are part of the royal priesthood and wait
with joy to meet my royal family in Heaven.
"The God
of peace be with you." Romans 15:33
