Verse of the Month
“…He is not here. He is Risen.”
Mark 16:6
April 15-21, 2015
Scripture
Reading: Matthew 24:6
Where were you when the announcement of war broke? Were you having a quiet time with family and
friends when the message “America is at war” rang throughout your house? How are you handling the rumors and scandal?
This news shouldn’t be “news” to a Christian. God’s Word has prepared us by telling what
will happen. There will be wars and
rumors of more war. But God has also
told us that we are not to fear these events.
Why? Because we have hope through
Christ Jesus, we are redeemed and know our outcome.
Do you have a friend or loved one who isn’t coping with
the news of the day? Share your faith
and hope in your salvation through Christ Jesus. Help them to know the comfort that can only
come through Jesus, through your witness.
"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mound." (2 Timothy 1:7 NKJ)
"And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet." (Matthew 24:6 NKJ)
