No Disappointment in Waiting
Waiting
is a difficult thing to do. As children
we couldn’t wait until Christmas or the last day of school. Adults can’t wait until payday or vacation
time rolls around. We don’t like to wait
because we want things RIGHT NOW!
Our
mindset about waiting tells us it’s a bad thing. I’d like to show you from God’s Word how
waiting can be a good thing.
As we wait upon the Lord (the Amplified Bible
says, wait for, hope for, look for, expect) we shall renew our strength (Isaiah 40:31).
Psalm
25:3 tells us that we will never be ashamed or disappointed.
As we wait upon the Lord, we will receive our meat (blessings) in due season (Psalm 145:15).
If
we are waiting upon man and the world, we are in for some let downs. However, when we wait, look for, put our hope
in, and expect the Lord to do what He has promised, we will never be disappointed!
“Wait, I say, on the Lord!” (Psalm 27:14)
