The Bondage of Fear

"For God has not given us the Spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."  (2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV)

The Bondage of Fear 

"Love, hope, faith, fear - these make humanity.  These are its signs, make and character."  Perhaps you have heard this quote from Robert Browning and even agree with him. 

Maybe this is true for the world, but for a believer fear is to have no place in our life or heart because it isn't from God.  When we accept Jesus as our Savior we receive gifts from the Holy Spirit such as faith and love.  Jesus has instructed that He didn't give us fear, so if it is a part of your character it's time to make a change.

"For you have not received the Spirit of bondage again to fear; but you have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father." 

(Romans 8:15 NKJV) 

This is what God has given to His children:

"For God has not given us the Spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, 

and of a sound mind." (2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV)

God has given you the spirit of hope, faith, love, joy, power and clear thinking.  Stop letting the bondage of fear rule your life. Receive these gifts from the Heavenly Father and let hope be born in your heart today.
