The Best to Come
The whirlwind of events
that took place after Jesus and the disciples arrived in Jerusalem had come to
a close. He had been falsely accused, ridiculed, beaten, abandoned by His
own disciples and now was hanging on a cross.
Those who believed in
Jesus, must have felt that something had gone horribly wrong, but our Savior
had been telling them for some time what must come to pass. Today was the
day.
Jesus suffered pain,
agony and ultimately death on the cross. Philippians 2:8 tells us how the Lord humbled
Himself, and willingly fulfilled God's call on His earthly life.
"...He
humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death,
even
the death of the cross." (Philippians 2:8 KJV)
Our scripture of month
has walked us through the accounts that Jesus said would take place, with the
exception of one more event. Take a look at it again … the best was yet
