Verse of the Month
"From that time forth began
Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that He must go unto Jerusalem,
and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes,
and be killed, and be raised again the third day."

Leading the Way
Jesus'
earthly ministry was coming to a close and it was time to prepare His disciples
for the days that lay ahead. He already
knew what would face Him in Jerusalem, and that it wouldn't be easy for His apostles
to accept.
However,
Jesus never lost sight of His mission from God, and was willing to fulfill
God's plan for the salvation of each one of us.
With the Savior leading the way, the group headed for Jerusalem. Soon the Master’s commission would become theirs.
(Matthew 28)
Like
Jesus, all believers have a mission to fulfill for God. Our
responsibility is to carry out that calling no matter how hard it may seem.
It
is time to go unto Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and all the world with the message
of salvation. As Christ led the first
disciples with their commission in Acts 1:8, listen to His voice and act on
what He says. (jw/cw)
“Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are
the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long.” Psalm 25:5 ESV
