The Right Time
New
Year’s is a great time to redirect our thinking and reflect on things God has
impressed on our hearts to change. Letting
go of the past is often difficult, especially when we like doing
something.
When SOFFY Ministries began, there were outreach programs we did to meet the
needs of the area that were right for that particular time. However, when God moved the ministry to
another state some of those community outreaches were no longer necessary for
what God was doing in our lives. He let
us know it was time to move with the anointing and where the Holy Spirit was
working.
“Behold, the former things have come to pass, and new things
I declare; before they spring forth, I tell you of them.” (Isaiah 42:9 NKJV)
“Behold, I will do a new thing. Now it shall spring forth; shall you not know
it? I will even make a road in the
wilderness and rivers in the desert.” (Isaiah 43:19 NKJV)
Take
a look at what God was doing in your life that no longer seems to be
working. Maybe your part in that project
has changed and God wants to stretch you beyond what you were doing.
Get
excited for the new things that God’s wants to bring into your life. Any time is the right time for walking with
God’s Holy Spirt. Learn to move on when
He moves you toward the prize of His High calling. (cw)
“Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended
(taken hold); but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and
reaching forward to those things which are ahead. I press toward the goal for the prize of the
upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
Therefore let us, as many as are mature, have this mind; and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal even
this to you.” (Philippians 3:13-15 NKJV)
