Faith Moments Daily Bible Reading and Online Devotionals

Focus Scripture Reading:  I Corinthians 13 

“And now abides faith, hope, and charity (love), these three; but the greatest of these is charity (love).” 

 (I Corinthians 13:13) 

Why do you think that love is called the greatest of the three (faith, hope, love) from I Corinthians 13:13?  Let’s look at why these attributes of love are so valued in the eyes of the Lord.

Love: Is not easily provoked, thinks no evil (verse 5) 

"Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up (arrogant)." 1 Corinthians 13:5

Love: Rejoices in truth (verse 6) 

"(Love) does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth." 1 Corinthians 13:6

Love: Bears (never quits), believes, hopes, and endures all things (verse 7) 

"(Love) bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things." 1 Corinthians 13:7

Summed up in three words, Love Never Fails! 

Love is a binding element.  God is bound to us by His love.  Husbands and wives are bound together by love.  Love holds the whole thing together. 

If it weren’t for God’s love, faith and hope wouldn’t be available to us.  Salvation through the shed blood of Jesus wouldn’t be available. 

God has given us the gift of love.  It is a gift that gets bigger and better (for us) the more we give it away.  Show your love to others and, “Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly” (Colossians 3:16), the Word of love!

Beginning with Faith Moments in the Word

 Faith Moments Daily Bible Reading and Online Devotionals

We are so excited that you are starting the new year with Faith Moments Devotionals and Daily Bible Reading!

Each month we highlight some of our favorite Faith Moments Devotionals and teachings along with the Daily Bible Reading Schedule that thousands have found to help them be successful in reading through the scriptures for over 25 years!

Where and how to start?

First, pick a time of day and specific quite place that you can read and meditate on the daily reading.  Morning and night readings are already scheduled for you to help keep on track.

So many people have started reading through the Bible, but stop because they got off schedule. They think they have to start over and sadly give up on doing it altogether.  We have the solution that will help you finish no matter how many times you stop and start over trying to complete reading the Bible.

The key to successfully reading through the Bible in one year is to START!  No matter how many times you stop, keep starting again and you will finish.

What makes this schedule work is that even if you get off course, you can pick up on it and still finish.  

For example, if you have stayed committed up to March 30th but got off course until April 6th, start reading the passage we have givien for that day. Do not go back to catch up; there is no need for that.  Keep reading from that day and the next year you will have completed the Bible on April 6th!  

The day you begin no matter what day of the year it is, the following year on that date will complete your year!  So you never need be discouraged, it always works!

There are two sets of scriptures for each day.  The first one for morning and the other for evening.  This is how January 1st looks if you were to begin today: 1) Luke 5; Genesis 1-2.  (see January's schedule)

Click on the links and they will take you directly to the scripture listed for the day.  Follow the pattern we have provided and you will finish with ease!
