"From that time forth began
Jesus to show unto His disciples, how that He must go unto Jerusalem,
and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes,
and be killed, and be raised again the third day."

Jesus Conquered
News spread across the land … Nailed
to a cross as a criminal to be silenced by the religious rulers, Jesus had
died. They didn’t realize that instead
of stopping the work of God, they would herald it when Jesus Christ conquered
death. He rose from the grave three days
after His crucifixion proving He truly was the Son of God.
"From that time forth began
Jesus to show unto his disciples, how that He must go unto Jerusalem,
and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes,
and be killed, and be raised again the third day."
(Matthew 16:21
NKJV)
The Resurrection shows God’s
complete satisfaction with the work of Jesus in defeating the devil, the cause
of all evil and death. Only Jesus, who
was sinless, could became the sacrificial lamb to pay the penalty (debt) for all sin.
“For you know
that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your
ancestors. And it was not paid with mere
gold or silver, which lose their value (and perish). It was the precious blood of Christ, the
sinless, spotless (without blemish of sin) Lamb of God.
God chose Him
as your ransom long before the world began,
but now in
these last days He has been revealed for your sake.”
(1 Peter
1:18-20 NLV)
It may be over 2,000 years since the message
that Christ has risen first began, but it still holds true for today. Christ the Risen Lamb has conquered death and
gave us victory over sin. Repent of your
sins. Believe in Jesus and receive forgiveness right now. (cw)
“O death,
where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?
For sin is
the sting that results in death, and the law gives sin its power.
But thank
God! He gives us victory over sin and
death through
our (risen)
Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Corinthians 15:55-57 NLT)
