Steadfast and Unmovable

Verse of the month 

“…the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God,

who loved me and gave Himself for me” (Galatians 2:20).

Steadfast and Unmovable 

“And let us not be weary in well doing:  for in due season we shall reap,  if we faint not” (Galatians 6:9).    

We live in a day when the world is very careful not to offend “other” religions.  They will defend the rights of those worshipping false gods, yet discriminate against and even condemn those of the Christian faith.  Jesus spoke of this in John 15:18, “If the world hates you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.” 

At times, trying to continue on can be frustrating, but the Words in  I Corinthians 15:58 ring loud and clear for us today, “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.”  Even though to us it may look like we are spinning our spiritual wheels, God sees to it that our labor is not wasted.  

In spite of all that is going on around us, and despite the fact that it may be unpopular with the world, we are to continue to uplift and honor the Name of the Lord. 

Jesus said in Revelation 2:7, “…To him that overcomes will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.”  

As we labor we will overcome the ways of the world.  As we uplift and honor the Lord, He will do the same for us!
