I Am What I Think I Am 

There are times when all of us have experienced a self-esteem problem.  Often because of a certain person or situation, we feel inferior or feel as if we have failed. 

Proverbs 23:7 says, “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he…”  If you think you are a failure that is what you will become.  If you think you are poor that is the way you will stay. Oh, but if we look at ourselves as God sees us, we can rise above any situation.   

We need to look at ourselves in the positive light of God’s Word that says (from Deuteronomy 28:6,12,13): 

⁶ “Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out. 

¹² The Lord will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow. 

¹³ And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them. 

Know in your heart that what God says may not happen, but will happen if you follow His guidelines in the scriptures.  Observe and do as He commands. 

Believe you will be blessed when you come in and go out of any place.  Think that you will be the lender and not the borrower. Act as if you will be made the head and not the tail.  Have no doubt you will be above only and not beneath! 

Don’t look at yourself as compared to others or the situation you may be in at the moment.  Purpose in your heart today to see yourself as God sees you, for as you think in your heart, so you will be.
