No More Silence

Verse of the Month

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given:
and the government shall be upon his shoulder:
and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor.
The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
(Isaiah 9:6)

Scripture Reading:  Luke 19:10

No More Silence

From Malachi the Prophet, the last book of the Old Testament to the beginning of the New Testament, there was 400 years of silence from God. He spoke through no man, he sent no prophets.  Where was the hope of the promises from God?

Hope would finally be restored with the birth of Jesus Christ in the flesh.  It opened the prophetic doorway once again as the Word of God came forth.

“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”
(John 1:14 NKJV)

The silence was broken and the Living Word came to seek and to save that which was lost.

“For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.”
(Luke 19:10)

Christmas to God means that once again as in the past, He could send His Word to His people. (jw/cw)
