Verse of the month
“Thanks be unto God which always causes me to triumph in
Christ…” 2 Corinthians 2:14
Week of January
22-28, 2016
Scripture Reading:
Matthew 6:27-33
Deep in Thought
We
are deep thinkers, aren’t we? Every
little thing in life, we feel that we must think about it and find out the
answer. And all too often, worry
accompanies these thoughts.
There
are certain things that we are not to spend our thought time on, as
Jesus explains in verses 27-33 of Matthew 6.
He asks, in verse 27, “Which of you by taking thought, can add one cubit
unto his stature?” If we can’t, why
think about it?
You
see God has us covered. While we sleep,
He is taking care of business and changing things around to benefit us.
So
next time, instead of “thinking” and worrying about things, let’s do what it
says in Matthew 6:33, “Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness;
and all these things shall be added unto you.” (jw)
